“The Witch” Drama Jinyoung In Episodes 3 & 4 We Discovered New Truths.

“The Witch” drama has only 10 episodes. We find important information about our main character Dong Jin (Jinyoung) in the plot. We getting some information about the crucial plot. On the other hand, all the flashbacks make every episode more interesting in the plot and you will feel sad you can’t help your feelings because the end is already near.

The latest episode of “The Witch” has given us insights that make the drama even more curious. Dong Jin (Jinyoung) starts from studying statistics in college to being the best friend from friend, there are four truths. In “The Witch” drama three and four episodes we discovered about Dong Jin (Jinyoung).

Dong Jin (Jinyoung) Statistics Studying Reason

“The Witch” the premiere episode gives us the impression that Dong Jin(Jinyoung) is a skilled data miner with investigating skills. He will use his skill to dispel the rumor of being a witch of Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui). It goes forward even more far than that. It shows Dong Jin’s college years in episodes three and four when he decides to become a data miner which is connected to Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui).

On the other hand, in one scene Dong Jin introduces himself to the statistics class professor and classmates. Dong Jin (Jinyoung) says that because of personal problems to solve he is taking the course. Then the professor asks him about the problem. We know that he is indicating the rumor that has destroyed the life of Mi Jeong (Roh Jeong Eui). Although we see that to dispel the rumor that does not affect him he enrolls in a class and it proves how deeply he cares for her. We know that Dong Jin (Jinyoung) cared about Mi Jeong. 

Dong Jin Changing Mi Jeong's Life Indirectly

Dong Jin has been trying to help Mi Jeong from the beginning. In the premiere episode, we also see that when Mi Jeong is expelled from the whole school and left lonely. Mi Jeong eats lunch alone on the bench. Dong Jin (Jinyoung) buys a shade for the bench he takes money from his mother. From a distance, Dong Jin always tried to give attention to her and care for her.

As an example, Mi Jeong sits alone as usual during the school trip. She avoids people interaction. Then Dong Jin sees her sitting and takes a photo of her. As an audience, we can see his good intentions, the moment is very sweet, So the moment seems sweet rather than unsettling. Although this step could be considered intruding. These photos, become the reason for his leaving the village where she grew up that place is filled with her father’s memories, and also forces her to leave home.

A flashback scene shows that Dong Jin’s mother reveals the truth. Dong Jin’s mother gives the idea to the village people’s mind to drive away Mi Jeong from the village. Dong Jin’s mother sees the photo and she fears for his safety and trusts the rumor that anyone will die if he gets close to Mi Jeong that’s why to protect her son she wants Mi Jeong to get out of their lives.

Although Dong Jin’s mother regrets her decision to leave Mi Jeong from the village. The loss is already done. The whole village wants Mi Jeong to go from here. She buys Mi Jeong’s house so that she can use that money to live on as compensation. Dong Jin was a catalyst from the beginning for Mi Jeong’s life change which makes it clear.

Dong Jin: A Witch Existence Report

Dong Jin had acquired the limited statistics knowledge that he used to prove that lie the existence of witches during his first semester in college especially to dispel the rumors about Mi Jeong. He conducted the research. He wrote a research report in the paper which proves that Mi Jeong could not be a witch, the deaths around him were truly coincidental. That’s why viewers believe that the rumor was baseless.

Then the statistics professor challenged Dong Jin’s searches. When Dong Jin reanalyzed his research data then unexpectedly he found that between all of the incidents Mi Jeong was the only common link. This raises the possibility that she actually may be a witch. 

Dong Jin and Jung Hyeok's Friendship

“The Witch” It’s an intensively woven story. The drama does not have many characters. Its main focus is the investigation aspect of rumors.

In the third and fourth episodes, a character dynamic came out clearly that is Dong Jin (Jinyoung) and Jung Hyeok’s (Lim Jae Hyeok) friendship. In the premiere episode, we see that police officer Jung Hyeok is an example of a “normal” societal definition. In the flashback, we see one time that he was also introverted and emotionally irresponsive to his classmates because of that he was expelled.

 People do not behave properly towards Jung Hyeok. Seeing this behavior, Dong Jin (Jinyoung) makes his friendship with Jung Hyeok because he does not want Jung Hyeok to suffer the same fate as Mi Jeong. It shows the depth of Dong Jin’s character. At the beginning, Dong Jin helps Mi Jeong because he has a crush on her. In the same situation, he would have helped anyone without any love connection. The fact shows that Dong Jin is a genuine person.He is also an honorable and passionate person.

By moving into an apartment in the same neighborhood, Dong Jin (Jinyoung) reduced the physical distance between himself and Mi Jeong finally.  Now he can collect more information with clues to strengthen the case also he can protect her closely. Otherwise, he may also know that behind all of these incidents, Mi Jeong was the only reason. Time will tell what will happen next.
